He may be an "idiot", "kid", "dumb" or whatever has already been told about
him here. Nevertheless his point is there. He certainly doesn't have a way
but he's got his point. The same one that makes some other people sad from
time to time. I (for example) won't go for microsoft windows. Won't do it
for both technical and ideological reasons. Technical because it is highly
unreliable in many of my use cases, unmaintanable in a way I believe in,
and its performance deteriorates over time, which is a major design flaw.
Ideologically, because I don't like the way microsoft fools people to use
the proprietary data formats, which they treat as commodities. There are
many documents describing those techniques. I don't like also many other MS
ways of doing business. Now to the point:
Me and many others (probably including this poor guy) simply dislike the
idea that:
a) they have paid for a "privilege" of being a sort of "beta tester" for the
microsoft windows software. For a software they won't actually ever use due
to the reasons described earlier.
b) again their engagement in supporting the rebellious Amiga platform served
eventually for a better glory of the dark empire.
Of course now you may call me... whatever you like... But no offence was
intended from my side. I simply wanted to show you the other side of the
coin. Of course Greg and Jon do what they decided to do and it is their
free will to do so. Just before you call one's (all possible :-) names -
maybe it's worth trying to understand what the one was actually, really up
to. No matter how unmature his trials were...

What's so ironic is that if Commodore hadn't poured all the money they
initially made (with C-64 and the early Amigas) into "Windows PCs" (and
Lear Jets for some Arabian a??????s) but used it for the further Amiga
development, they could survive probably somewhat longer...
(No offence for any Arabian people beside - personally - single one).

Commodore and Amiga is a different, long and sad story. One can be
supporting Amiga without supporting Commodore, which died mostly because it
"supported the PC" sucking funds off Amiga (and eventually killing it) in
hope they will become a "prestigous", "proffessional" computer vendor like
some crapmakers happen to become. What was then? The Amiga survived longer
than the (in)famous company that originally brought it to the market...
"Fate - it seems - is not without the sense of irony" ...

Don't see any.

I have a couple of them. So what? I still can not "support" DOpus on the PC.
The only reason for that is the simiple fact that I don't have microsoft
windows :-) If I had, I am not so sure I would. :-)
